Triangle Tech Media has announced plans for its bi-annual reverse job fair to be held on April 18th, 2013 in Bay 7 of the American Tobacco Campus from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m.

This isn’t your parent’s job fair. More than a dozen of the hottest rising technology companies in the Triangle will sell themselves to potential employees. You heard that right: each company will have a 3-minute time slot to pitch their open positions to an audience of over 350 job seekers. After the pitches, the companies and their staff connect at a designated area for job seekers to then focus their networking efforts.

Think jugglers, acrobats, aerial performances, hot dogs, beer, popcorn and more. Resumes and suits not required.

“We are very excited to have this mix of companies and open positions. We expect at least 75 open positions to be showcased at this upcoming Big Top including opportunities for people in sales, marketing, customer support, project management and, of course, software development,” said Chris Heivly, founder of the Big Top event series.

The companies prepared to pitch include Bronto, Datacraft Solutions, Geomagic, KnowledgeTree, Netsertive, SciQuest and more. These companies range in size from ten employees to over three hundred, which means a wide diversity of company cultures, job opportunities and work environments.

The response to the first four Big Top events has been overwhelming – every event has sold out at 350 job seekers with waitlists for each event. Companies typically see several candidates from this event make it into their recruitment process.

“We’re excited to join our third Big Top recruiting event,” said Brendan Morrissey, CEO of digital marketing technology startup Netsertive. “The prior events have been very effective for us to spread the word about Netsertive and get to know lots of great local talent who are focused on tech companies and startups. The ‘reverse job fair’ format is cool and different and has definitely helped us augment our recruiting efforts in the Triangle.”

Register today for the fifth Tech Jobs Under the Big Top!
